Polemical Literature in the Late Byzantine World (13th-15th centuries)

The Conference’s purpose is to explore the literary aspects of polemic in the Late Byzantium and in the context of the turbulent Palaiologan period (1261-1453), when certain religious, ethnic, and social groups strived to defend their identity. This international Conference is organized in relation to the project “Anti-Jewish Greek Literature in the Late-Medieval Crete” funded by the Leibniz-WissenschaftsCampus.
